Motorcycling
The International Fellowship of Motorcycling Rotarians was formed in January 1992 and is open to all Rotarians with an interest in motorcycling whether it is on road, off road, racing, collecting, restoring or just reminiscing!
There are currently an estimated 20,000 members world wide. The world Chairmanship has been held by members in Australia, the USA, Great Britain & Ireland and Scandinavia.
The Fellowship in Great Britain & Ireland has nearly 100 members, many of whom take part in the organised rides. About five weekend rides per year are arranged by individual members, normally in the area where they live. We also enjoy touring the continent and countries further afield, usually hosted by the nations' members. Tours from several countries have been hosted here in return.
An AGM is held in April/May, and is arranged to coincide with a weekend event, organised in different locations around the country. A newsletter is distributed four times a year to keep members in touch with schedules, updates and events.
A group usually attend the International motorcycle show in Birmingham with local members offering accommodation to those who live a long way from the Midlands.
