We're 'This Close' to Thanks for Life
Rotary clubs are gearing up for the second Thanks for Life campaign, which reaches its peak on the 23rd of February.
The thousands of purple crocuses planted last year are due to come into bloom, reminding everyone that it is time to help bring an end to polio.
Purple blooms were chosen as the colour is symbolic of the dye used to mark a child's little pinkie finger once they have been immunised.
Since Rotary joined the campaign to bring eradicate polio in 1985, cases have fallen from over a thousand a week to just 946 new cases of polio recorded last year.
Get involved with Thanks for Life and help save a life.
