Promotional funding

There are two sources of promtional funding available: the RIBI Promotional Reserve and the RI PR Grants.

The RIBI Promotional Reserve gives RIBI Rotary clubs and districts the opportunity to obtain RIBI central funding to supplement their own funding for marketing and promotional activities. These activities should be focused on increasing the public image and awareness of Rotary in order to increase membership. (This funding is not available for fundraising purposes.)

To apply, please read the RIBI Promotional Reserve Criteria and complete the RIBI Promotional Reserve Application Form below.

Rotary International, from its headquarters in Evanston, USA, provides RI PR Grants designed to assist districts (not clubs) to promote Rotary and improve the organisation's public image to the general public. To quote from the 2012/13 application form (opens pdf file): "The RI Board of Directors has allocated Public Relations Grant funds for 2012-13 to help districts improve public awareness and understanding of what Rotary does within their local communities. Increasing awareness of Rotary within your community attracts the interest of potential members and inspires existing Rotarians. Each district may apply for a PR grant of up to US$15,000."

Despite being called 'PR' Grants, this funding is generally available to pay for television, radio, print, outdoor poster and web-based 'public service announcements' - i.e. 'advertising' airtime and space.

Please note that applications for 2012/13 closed on 4th March 2012, and notifications of approval/denial will be made before 1st July 2012.

Grants, which are also available on a multi-district application basis (opens pdf file), are awarded to districts world-wide on a competitive basis. Take a look at the files, below, for more information:
