103rd Rotary International Convention, Bangkok, 6th - 9th May 2012

'Convention', the annual worldwide conference of Rotary International, is held towards the end of each Rotary year. The venue changes annually and attracts in excess of 20,000 members and their families from all over the Rotary world.

In 2012, RI President Kalyan Bannerjee is welcoming everyone to Thailand, the land of a Thousand Smiles and a wide variety of spectacular destinations. Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is laden with magnificent temples, intriguing museums, an ancient attractions, and is where modernity meets the traditional.

Enjoy Thai hospitality, make friends with fellow Rotarians from around the world, take in spectacular sights, taste delicious Thai cuisine and experience a vibrant culture.

Local Rotarians on the Host Organisation Committee (HOC) have arranged several cultural excursions and host hospitality events to help visiting Rotarians enjoy their stay in Bangkok. Continue your convention experience by taking a host-sponsored tour before or after the Convention.

Open to all members, the event is a great opportunity for Rotarians to meet others from different countries. As well as the numerous social activities, members also take part in motivational presentations and business sessions.

Previous RI Conventions

Birmingham, England, was honoured to host the historic 100th Convention in June 2009. Video highlights of this memorable event can be viewed on the RI website.
