ROTARY CENTENARY PEN PROJECT

Pens commemorating the centennial of Rotary International have been commissioned by Rotarians in East Sussex, England. The Rotary Club of Seaford in East Sussex have teamed up with Parker Pens to produce and offer for sale high quality pens emblazoned with the Rotary Centenary Emblem ‘Celebrate Rotary’.

There are two products
• A Vector Roller Ball pen and
• A gift set comprising both a Vector Pen and a Ball Pen
and each comes in its own attractive packaging.

The project was initially launched at the RIBI Conference in Bournemouth at the end of April and so far has generated very favourable interest and orders are now being taken.

The plan is to produce a large batch of pens, to match orders, in October for distribution towards the end of this year ready for 2005. We do however have a small number available at the present time and if there are sufficient orders we could have more produced before October.

The pens are suitable for Christmas gifts for Rotarians and their families, President Night’s gifts or perhaps for speakers visiting clubs. And we also think a useful slogan could be “ Every Rotarian should have one”.

The costs of the products are £4.50 (7 Euros) for the pen and £8.50 (13 Euros) for the gift set, including post and packing, compared with a RRP of £5.99 (9 Euros) and £12.99 (20 Euros) respectively for equivalent Parker pens. These products are not on sale from any other outlet nor are they available direct from Parkers.

The pens are available from the Rotary Club of Seaford, Claremont House, Milton Street, Polegate, East Sussex BN26 5RP or online at www.centenarypens@seafordrotary.org.uk or reg @regbarr.me.uk.
