Charity\'s Appeal to Rotary for Support
WorldWaterWorks is currently partnering with a range of other charities to get the water survival boxes, which each include survival items and a filtration pack with chlorine tablets that can support a family of four for four months, out to affected areas of Burma as quickly as possible.
WorldWaterWorks trustee Steve Tanner and Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge president said: "At WorldWaterWorks, we plan in advance of future disasters so we are in a position to respond quickly. Previous fund raising initiatives meant that 300 boxes were available to immediately respond to this disaster but we desperately need more donations to meet the needs of the survivors in the wake of this devastating cyclone.
"We are confident that we will soon be in a position to ship the boxes and efforts are being made to secure the next available charter flight. We are urging rotarians, if you are keen to donate money for the Burma cyclone disaster then please consider supporting this charity and enabling stock to be replenished so more aid can be sent out as quickly as possible."
