The business meeting at the 2010 Bournemouth Conference considered a number of proposed resolutions and the following was the outcome:

•    Conference approved the annual report and accounts for the year 2008/2009; agreed to the re-appointment of Dafferns LLP as the Association’s auditors for 2009/2010; approved a budget for the coming year which sets the membership subscription at £44.75 per member.

•    The new member recruitment campaign for 2010/2011 incorporating a levy of £2.75 per member was approved.

•    Resolution 1/2010 - To move the election of President and Honorary Treasurer, and the SAC to earlier in the year, was adopted.

•    Resolution 2/2010 - To regularise the procedure for resolving disputes, was adopted.

•    John Minhinick (Burntisland and Kinghorn) was elected RIBI Vice President 2011/2012 and RIBI President 2012/2013.

•    Greg Thacker (West Woodspring) was elected unopposed as RIBI Honorary Treasurer 2011/2012.

•    Allan O. Jagger (Elland) was elected as Director of Rotary International 2011/13.

An amended version of the RIBI Constitutions to reflect these changes will shortly be published in the members’ area of the RIBI website.

Following the Council on Legislation at the end of this month in Chicago, a revised printed edition of the RIBI and Club Constitution and By-laws will be available at the beginning of the next Rotary year.

It should be noted that those Constitutional resolutions which were adopted at the Business Session take effect immediately, unless otherwise stated.
