Contributing to funds
The Rotary Foundation has three main funds which can provide for a range of programmes, including Rotary Peace Scholarships and polio eradication.
- Annual Fund - providing funds for the programmes of today
- Endowment Fund - helping fund the Foundation of tomorrow
- Polio Fund - Rotary's only corporate programme, the eradication of polio
Within the Endowment Fund is the Bill Huntley Endowment. This was established in memory of the late Bill Huntley MBE, Rotary International President 1994/95 and member of the Rotary Club of Alford & Mablethorpe, District 1270. Bill played a leading role in the establishment of the Rotary Peace Centres for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution. The endowment target of $500,000 has now been reached but contributions to the fund are still most welcome. For further information, please contact David Black, Chair of the Endowment Working Group.
Individual Rotarians can support the Rotary Foundation in many ways and the contributions are greatly appreciated. Your donation will be recognised in one of the following ways:
The Rotary Foundation recognises the efforts by individual Rotarians. Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award is given to 50 Rotarians each year for their outstanding efforts in the pursuit of Rotary service.
Proper stewardship of funds disbursed to support Humanitarian Grants is a vital component in the Rotary Foundation's oversight of its activities. The Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical Advisers advise, review, monitor and evaluate projects, ensuring grants are properly used.
The Cadre is always pleased to hear from Rotarians who are interested in joining them and is particularly keen to hear from Rotarianswith language skills and experience of working in health and sanitation.
To help keep track of the donations made by clubs and Rotarians throughout RIBI, you may submit your contribution via cheque and send it to the Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom (RFUK) office in Alcester. Providing you are a UK taxpayer and RFUK hold a signed declaration from you, doing so will also enable Gift Aid to be applied, which allows tax to be claimed back from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs and will increase the value of your donation. Please use the contributions form in the related downloads section below and send your cheque to:
Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom
Alternatively, you can contribute to TRF by making a contribution online but this will not have a Gift Aid Provision and it will not be included in RFUK's record of contribution which is circulated to RIBI district officers on a monthly basis.
