Overview
The RIBI Secretariat provides administrative, financial and marketing service and support for Rotary clubs and districts across Great Britain and Ireland. Staffed by a small team, it is organised into departments to meet the various responsibilities of the Secretary/CEO as determined by the Association.
The Secretariat building is located in the Roman town of Alcester in the county of Warwickshire which is in the West Midlands area of England. It is approximately 20 miles from Birmingham and about 30 minutes drive from the M42.
The Secretary/CEO, who is an officer of the Association, is responsible to the General Council for day to day control and management of the staff in the performance of their duties. A management team reports to the Secretary/CEO and is supported by staff covering the areas of Finance (including the financial management of the Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom), Operations and Marketing & Communications.
This set-up is unique in the world of Rotary and in many respects it is de-centralised and partly autonomous from the global headquarters in Evanston. The Secretariat can offer a bespoke service to British and Irish Rotarians including the provision of targeted marketing material; an understanding of legal and financial obligations of clubs and districts, and a telephone and email support service.
