RIBI's National Projects
RIBI's National Projects
There are also national projects which RIBI clubs support collectively. These national initiatives see clubs pulling together and making a big and positive impact. By using their skills, their time and their resourcefulness, Rotary members frequently deliver nationally successful campaigns.
Some of these initiatives include:
Polio - Thanks for Life
To provide a further boost to Rotary's commitment to ending polio, Rotary clubs launched the first Thanks for Life on the 23rd of February 2010.

Fundraisers and activity days involving schools and communities generated an incredible £1m. In 2011, the campaign had a new angle with the inclusion of planting purple crocuses.
The purple colour represented the dye which is used to mark aa little child's finger once tehy have been immunised against polio. The date is significant as it marks the day when the first ever Rotary club meeting took place in 1905. Thanks for Life is running in 2012 and your local Rotary club would love to hear from you. If you would like to help or have an idea, contact your Rotary club and find out how you can make a difference to this worthy cause.
Rotary Spring Clean
This dynamic drive to clean up communities gets underway in February. Rotary clubs are calling on everyone to help improve their local area. It could be litter picking, tidying up gardens, planting bulbs or even working with councils to remove old fly posters. Helping hands are needed to make this exciting campaign a success. Get in touch with your Rotary club and discover how your time could transform a community and encourage people to take pride in it.
