Improving the skills of civil servants who work directly with persons who have applied to state administrations for OPTL status (victims of trafficking), at the stage of conducting surveys, collecting documents, assessing needs and planning services and providing assistance as needed.
Updating the issue of PTL (prevention) through information campaigns and educational work, preventive measures, dissemination of information materials among the population of different ages and social strata on the problem of human trafficking and the possibility of obtaining assistance for OPTL.

The program (tasks and measures) on implementation of the regional social program of counteraction to human trafficking for the period till 2020 in the Cherkasy region is approved by regional council.
Training was provided on the procedure for establishing the status of a victim of human trafficking. 21 specialists of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports (specialists of district departments) have been trained.
Training was conducted on needs assessment and rehabilitation plan for the victim. 23 specialists of regional and district centers of social services for families, children and youth were trained.
20 multidisciplinary groups (hereinafter referred to as MDGs) were established in accordance with the instructions of the RSA leadership.
7 two-day trainings “Multidisciplinary approach to detection, identification and provision of comprehensive assistance to victims of human trafficking” were held for representatives of state institutions of NMW entities from 20 districts of Cherkasy region.
Conducted 4 two-day trainings for teachers and psychologists of boarding schools and social dormitories, which is under the operational management of structural units of the Regional State Administration (Children’s Service, DSZN, Department of Education and Science) and 4 one-day bush trainings for representatives of MDG districts. and providing assistance to child victims of trafficking. ”
325 civil servants, representatives of territorial bodies of state power and teaching staff of boarding schools were trained.
During this period, 112 trainers were trained from among students, educators of dormitories and specialists of state institutions of NMV in the direction of PTL.
Preventive measures covered more than 3,425 people. Approximately 14,777 pieces of information materials (booklets, brochures, posters, leaflets) were distributed.

The number of calls to the hotline of the national anti-trafficking hotline “527” has increased, in 2017 679 people called, they were provided with 2184 consultations,
During the period of work, 24 victims of human trafficking were identified. 7 statuses have been granted in the region, 3 packages of documents are being considered by the Ministry of Social Policy.
